Great book wonderfully written, and I am not a mystery fan. Enjoyed this book thourghly. The first I have actually purchased on my .
This Book is well written and draws the reader in so that you feel the characters are real. Getting to the end of is bittersweet, you have the reward of the developed story, but feel that you are losing touch with dear friends and that you lost site of the one person you must keep your eye on, for your own good.
Anxiously awaiting the next volume.
Awesome book it gave me chills,you really feel for Julie and Paul and Marie do its a real page turner and keeps you up reading that's the mark of a great book for me.
The plot was fair. There was a lot of description, that could have left out
It was worth reading. There were times while reading this I got board
I use to be an avid reader but life has gotten in the way of my favorite pass time. So at this point in my life for me to actually finish a book it has to grab my attention. I was hooked from the very beginning and not only did I finish this book I gave up precious sleep time to do it. The way the chapters are formatted with each being a day in the month of October makes it a Great fall/Halloween read but I guarantee you won't be able to schedule reading over the month of October as you won't be able to wait a day to find out what is going to happen next.
This reminded me a lot of the older Stephen King stories, like Salem's Lot. It is very original and well crafted. Editing problems were almost non-existent. I loved how real all the characters are, very well developed. Great inter-personal relationships between the friends and parents. The author expertly introduced the horror mystery slowly, bit by bit, as the story unfolded. Great atmosphere old dark house, sealed chambers sheltering evil, dark woods, mists. Suspense, chills, terror. I am very glad I bought this. Hard to put down, had to know what was going to happen next. The complex story unfolded smoothly. I will look for other books by Adrian Lilly. A great book to read around Halloween or on dark Winter nights. Snuggle up with this book in front of your fireplace on a windy, stormy night!
This book is a great blend of mystery, mysticism, and good old fashioned fear! The author really knows his way around terrific adjectives! I lived in a huge Victorian home for a few years, and I am glad I didn't have THIS book to read when I did. Anyone from young adult to old lady like me would enjoy this entertaining book!
